Dr. David Guengerich graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in 2001 with a BS in biology and a BS in business administration. He studied dentistry at University of Pittsburgh graduating in 2005 and has practiced at WRR since 2006.
Born in Sellersville, and raised in Salford Township, Dr. Guengerich enjoys working in his hometown. He appreciates the variety of general practice; every facet from root canals to crowns to implants.
He volunteers with his local church having served with committees involving finances and education and also serves as a director at Indian Creek Foundation. Some of his other favorite activities are gardening, swimming and hiking with his family. Dr. Guengerich is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry. He enjoys leading “Give Kids a Smile” which is a free dentistry day associated with the PAGD.
Patients ask, “How did you decide to be a dentist?” When Dr. Guengerich was a boy he had a bike accident involving the emergency department followed by extensive dental work. Being very appreciative of the restorative work done while spending hours in the dental chair he focused on becoming a dentist himself. When you see him in the office you will realize that the idea of restoring a smile, lending gentle care, and encouraging holistic health are still some of his goals today.
